2. COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION
In general, Agrodoubs collects and uses personal data as follows:
2.1 Information you submit. In many cases, we collect personal data directly from you, such as your name, contact information, e-mail address and any other information you provide to us when you contact us through our Agrodoubs website, send us a question, visit or use our Site, interact with us on social media, subscribe to our newsletter, or participate in Agrodoubs contests or other promotional activities. In general, we use this information for the following purposes:
- To process and respond to your requests or to contact you to answer your questions and/or requests;
- To communicate information to you and to manage your registration and/or subscription to our newsletter or other communications;
- To manage our day-to-day business needs in connection with your participation in our contests, sweepstakes or other promotional activities or requests;
- To verify the identity of individuals who contact Agrodoubs by telephone, electronically or otherwise;
- To understand and assess customers’ interests, expectations and changing needs in order to improve our Site, products and services and/or develop new ones;
- To provide personalized products and messages and to recommend products to customers; and
2.2 Cookies and technical information. When you visit our Site, for each visitor to the Site, our web server may automatically recognize and store information, such as the visitor’s address/domain name, web browser type, computer operating system (e.g. Windows or Mac OS) or any referring sites. When you visit our Site, our server may send a cookie to your browser. Cookies are small amounts of data that our Site sends to your computer when you visit our Site. This data is stored on your computer’s hard drive and enables our Site to differentiate our visitors and analyze browsing habits. This data is used to measure and improve the effectiveness of our Site or to enhance the customer experience. This information is de-identified and displayed in numerical form, which means it cannot be used to identify the user. You can deactivate the use of Google Analytics by visiting the Google Analytics deactivation page.
Search Console. We use Search Console, which allows us to see information about user activity on our Site, including the pages visited, the source and the keywords registered by the user to access that page. This information is de-identified and displayed in the form of numbers and search words, which means it cannot be used to identify the user. You can deactivate the use of Search Console by visiting the Search Console deactivation page.
- MailChimp. We use the services of the company MailChimp, which enables us to manage our commercial electronic communication based on the information you have submitted to us. This personal data is stored on the MailChimp online software but is only used by Agrodoubs. You can unsubscribe and delete your personal details from MailChimp by following the procedure described in point 4.2.
2.3 Job application. If you have applied for a job with Agrodoubs, the personal data you have provided will be used for recruitment and other normal human resources management purposes. For example, we may inform you of new job opportunities within Agrodoubs.
4. RIGHT TO WITHDRAW CONSENT
You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. You may also withdraw your consent as follows
4.1 Direct mail, telemarketing and quality control communications. You may decide that you would prefer Agrodoubs not to use your personal data to promote new or additional products or services that may be of interest to you and refuse to allow Agrodoubs to contact you by e-mail or telephone for marketing purposes or by e-mail or telephone for quality control purposes. In such cases, you may inform us by contacting the appropriate department or by contacting us at the coordinates indicated in the Contact Us section below.
4.2 Commercial electronic communications. You can always limit the communications that Agrodoubs sends you. To stop receiving commercial electronic messages, simply click on the “unsubscribe” or “opt-out” link at the end of the commercial electronic communications we send you. Please note that even if you deactivate the option to receive promotional offers, we may still need to contact you with important account information.
5. SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA
With third parties or affiliated service providers. We may use service providers in connection with the provision of our services. They may be individuals or legal entities whose services we have retained for purposes such as marketing research, customer and site service, and quality control. We provide them strictly with the information they need to provide the required services. They are prohibited from using the information for any purpose other than to provide the services we have asked them to provide.
As permitted or required by law. From time to time, Agrodoubs may be required to disclose personal information to comply with a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, valid demand or search warrant, government investigation or other legally valid request for information. We may also disclose information to our accountants, auditors, agents and attorneys in connection with the exercise or protection of our legal rights. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies activities that we believe, in good faith, to be unlawful, or to disclose information to law enforcement agencies and emergency service providers in the event of an emergency or if required or permitted by law. We may also disclose certain personal data when we have reasonable grounds to believe that doing so is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property and safety of others and of Agrodoubs, as permitted or required by law.
As part of a business transaction. We may disclose personal data to a third party in connection with the sale or transfer of a business or assets, a merger, restructuring or financing of parts of our business. However, if the transaction goes ahead, your personal data will be protected by applicable data protection laws. If the transaction does not go ahead, we will require the other party to undertake not to use or communicate your personal data in any way whatsoever, and to delete it in its entirety.
Agrodoubs will give access to personal data of its customers strictly to its employees or trusted third party contractors who require it for business reasons or in the performance of their duties, within reasonable limits.
6.COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING CHILDREN
It is not our intention to collect or display personal data from children or young people under the age of eighteen (18) without the consent of their parent or guardian. Agrodoubs does not intentionally provide information obtained from children, regardless of source, to any third party for any purpose.
However, it is possible that we may inadvertently collect such information if it is provided to us. Therefore, we encourage parents to inform their children of the possible consequences of using the Site and disclosing information through the Site. We assume no responsibility for the use of this Site or disclosure of information through this Site by children.
CHILDREN ARE HEREBY REQUIRED TO OBTAIN THE PRIOR CONSENT OF THEIR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN BEFORE PROVIDING US WITH ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.
7. PERSONAL INFORMATION OUTSIDE FRANCE
Under no circumstances may the personal data we manage be transferred, processed and stored outside France. All personal data is processed and stored at our head office (Flagey (25)).
8. ACCESS AND CORRECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
You may request the modification or deletion of your personal data from our databases. In order to review your personal data collected or to request Agrodoubs to modify or destroy this information, please send a message to Agrodoubs under the heading “Contact us”.
